{24} And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? {25} He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? {26} Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. {27} Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. {33} And he came to Capernaum:

LIFE IS SHORT
 For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. - James 4:14b

 DEATH IS SURE
 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: - Hebrews 9:27

 SIN THE CAUSE
 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, - Galatians 3:22a
For all have sinned - Romans 3:23a

 CHRIST THE CURE
 the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. - 1 John 1:7b


RECEIVE THE FREE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE!

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:23



ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR...

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: - John 1:12

having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; - Colossians 2:13c-14
